Here is a perfect example of why I need to stop commuting…
I left work early today and caught a Brighton train at Clapham Junction which was exactly one hour earlier than one I caught earlier in the week. (I was meeting J at Three Bridges station so didn’t need the Bognor/Chichester/Horsham trains which go to Crawley station). The train I caught was fast from Croydon to Brighton! It didn’t stop at Three Bridges like the one an hour later does. So, I had to go all the way to Brighton and then wait 40 minutes until the next train back up to Three Bridges. I eventually got there later than if I had just stayed at work longer and caught my normal trains.
From then on it was another day of acquisition: We stopped in the shops on the way home and bought a huge coffee table for the front room, and when I got home I had my new DVD-A and SACD discs which I ordered from play.com waiting for me. They both sounded fine, so it looks like I had a dodgy disc for Rumours and not a dodgy player.
