No news yet about that job. I wouldn’t expect to hear so soon, as they said they would know by the end of the week, or possibly Monday, but it would be handy to end the suspense.
Also still waiting for some mail. I seem to get a lot less through the post now, which is a good thing, but the few things I actually want are taking their time. I am expecting 3 cheques to arrive at some point: £25 refund from the telephone company, £450 from our housing association, and £1000 (I am guessing) from the taxman. Actually I am only assuming that last one, I think I overpaid NI contributions for two years and asked them to look at it, so I am assuming I was right and that they will not take too long to agree and send me what they owe. Maybe thats all a bit optimistic.
Talking of the taxman, I finally got round to completing my tax return last night. I have had it since April, but started to realise that the deadline of September 30th is now getting a lot closer.
