At last that dead period between the end of Euro 2004 and the start of the football season is over! Of course all the Premier League doesn’t start until this weekend, but my team is still languishing in the ‘Coca-Cola Championship’ (the old First Division. Or the even-older Second Division).
But the Hammers have had a reasonable start to the season I suppose. Two games, one win and one draw. No goals conceded yet. The next game is against Wigan on Sunday. Maybe that means I will get to watch it on Sky?
My other team (Crawley Town) start their league season this weekend. Its a big season for Crawley. Last year we came top of the Doc Martens Premier League and got promoted to the Conference League, so this year the important thing is to make sure we stay up. Last weekend was a good confidence-booster, when we won the Southern League Championship trophy, so lets hope that gives the team a boost for this week.
