Early night

I don’t usually have early nights. I get restless in the evenings and find it hard to want to go to bed. When I do go to bed I find it hard to sleep. As a result I end up getting by on very little sleep, and that catches up with me every now and then.

Sunday night (I think it was) I not only went to bed at midnight (early for me) but fell asleep straight away. At 3 am I was woken up by a strange noise, which turned out to be our boy’s mobile phone. He had set it up to remind him of something at 3 pm but had set the time wrong.

Last night I not only went to bed early, but did not turn my computer on all day! No checking of e-mails, no checking bulletin boards, no reading of quirky stories on fazed, no playing Rise of Nations, no checking of the bank account, no ripping of CDs. I know I have been spending less time on the computer this year, but its the first time in ages I haven’t even touched it all day.

I have been spending a lot more time reading since Christmas. I think I have read 6 novels, a biography and a ‘humour’ book in the last 4 weeks.
