Flu?

October 13th, 2005 · Posted by Skuds in Life · No Comments · Life

I think I may be on the verge of flu. Not bird flu, fortunately, but ‘bloke flu’ where you take your temperature twice an hour, feel sorry for yourself and expect everyone else to fuss over you.

I had intended to play truant from all the worthy civic meetings tonight, and go up to London to celebrate John Peel day watching Spizzenergi, but while we were waiting for Tony Blair to arrive at the college I was feeling a bit shakey. I’m pretty sure it was not excitement.

As soon as I got to the fresh air I felt fine, but then started feeling dizzy when we went into County Mall. By the time I got home I had decided not to risk a train journey, late night, and several beers.

What a shame though, I had been looking forward to saying I had met the Prime Minister and Spizz in the same day, and I had been hoping to get some decent concert photos on the new camera – maybe even some video clips.

I know something is going on anyway. My temperature was a little high earlier and now its a little low. I think I’ll go off to bed before I persuade myself its leptospiral jaundice from disposing of that rat the cat left in the garden last week.
