Concert DVD goodness

I was browsing a bit on Amazon, and found out that December 5th sees a couple of must-have concerts on DVD.

First of all there is the Kraftwerk Minimum Maximum double-disc of their 2004 tour. I think at least one track is from the Brixton Academy concert which I went to.

That was something I have been looking forward to for ages, but the other December 5th release was a bit of a surprise, as I had not heard any rumours about it coming out, although its something I have wanted from the moment I first bought a DVD player and a 5.1 surround amp – Pink Floyd’s Pulse – another double-disc from a tour I caught in London. About time too – I have just about worn out the VHS version by now.

Best of all, Amazon have an offer to get both concert DVDs for less than thirty quid. I’m tempted to get my sub-woofer repaired or replaced!

The bad news, of course, is that December 5th is within that embargo period when Jayne forbids me from buying any sort of toys for myself in case I get them for Christmas, so I will have to wait until the 25th before watching them. Or until the first shopping day afterwards if I don’t get given them.

Still, having waited this long another week or two won’t make much difference. (Yeah right! And football is “only a game”!)
