Delivering for Labour

November 20th, 2005 · Posted by Skuds in Politics · No Comments · Politics

This morning Jayne and I dragged the kids out so they could bond with us while we delivered Labour newsletters. Also so they could deal with any houses which looked like they might contain vicious dogs Smile

It may have been a frosty morning but it was extremely bright, as the glare in all these pictures shows. We were in that part of Broadfield South which is between Creasys Drive and Tollgate Hill. Its an interesting little area. All the roads are very pleasant, as are the houses, although it is all at quite a high density – acheived through small houses and small gardens, which there is a reasonable demand for.

One spoke of Crawley's 'Greenway' runs through this area, joining Broadfield Park and Target Hill.

Being full of houses it is obviously not as scenic as those two open spaces, but its more scenic than many housing estates. It must be great to have a curtain of trees face you when you go out of your front door, and the sound of running water instead of traffic.

There is a small stream running through, with trees growing all along the banks, and a row of houses on either side facing this wooded ribbon.

There are a couple of places to cross this – one a narrow place which is easily jumped if you are feeling brave and the other is a small plank bridge – which makes it a handy shortcut for anyone wanting to go to the Creasys Drive playing fields or Sure Start centre from Tollgate Hill.
