Many of the things we regard as traditional about Christmas are surprisingly modern inventions.
One truly modern activity which we are going to incorporate into all future holidays is the compacting of the recycling bin so that a few more armfuls of wrapping paper and (hopefully) empty boxes can be squeezed in.
On Boxing Day you could see half the street indulging in this new and exciting pastime.
Must remember to take the boy out before next week though.
