I spotted a small story about Amadou and Mariam in the Observer today. They are touring as part of the African Soul Rebels package. Last year this featured Daara J, Rachid Taha and Tinariwen and I am still kicking myself for missing that one.
This year the package is Amadou & Mariam, Saoud Massi and Emmanuel Jal and the tour lasts from february to march, arriving in Brighton on February 21st.
Not sure if either the Mrs or any of the kids are going to fancy an evening of Sudanese rap, Senegalese blues and Algerian goodness, so I have to decide whether to go to the Brighton Dome alone or miss out again.
