Another story Jayne brought back from the community centre was much more heart-warming.
A lady moved to Broadfield from another town some time ago. She had been worried because Broadfield does have a bit of a reputation, but having been led to expect something like Moss Side she found that the place is actually not bad at all.
She said that since moving here she has not only had no trouble, but found everyone very friendly and discovered a great community spirit.
As a result, she decided that she would like to put something back and thought she would organise an Easter egg hunt to raise money for a local charity. While she was at the community centre to discuss it, she found out that the centre itself is a charity and the perfect destination for anything she might raise.
At some point in the near future, the boy who stole the car will probably feature prominently in the local papers. The lady who is organising an event which could provide some entertainment locally and some much-needed funds for the centre will probably not. In that way the image of Broadfield within the town will continue to be negative.
