We signed up another new member for Broadfield Labour party tonight. It would be nice to just get a few dozen applications come in at once in reply to one of our newsletters, but if we have to grow our membership the hard way, thats what we’ll do.
I did try to recruit the local vicar too, but he resisted. Well, he’s always trying to persuade us to go to church, so why not?
Just as important as getting people to join, is getting those who are already members to join in. Once the local elections are out of the way , we really should start getting some events organised that are more tempting ward meetings.
