No its not a post about Dave the Chameleon, but about Vernon Atkinson, who is standing as a BNP candidate in Furnace Green. I noticed today that a Vernon Atkinson stood in the Wandworth borough elections in 1978 and 1982 as a candidate for the National Front.
Either its a common name in far-right circles, or its just a sign that the BNP’s claims that they are not a nasty, thuggish, racist party like the old NF but a cuddly, respectable, serious racist party who are just interested in looking after the working class are (as we all suspected) a load of rubbish.
Do the local rags know about Furnace Green’s BNP/NF racist thug ?
Yeah, probably. One of the ladies from one of them was telling me a while ago, in an e-mail exchange, that they are trying to avoid mentioning them too much.
