We had an extraordinary response to our Labour newspapers in Furnace Green this evening. I have never before seen people come out of their house, asking to have their copy autographed by the candidate, and had the experience of seeing people taking pictures with their mobile phones everywhere we go.
I would not like to predict which way the vote will go there, but I have a feeling that Eugene is going to help increase the turnout if nothing else.
Some people did tell us that the BNP had been around in the last couple of days and it has made them more determined to go out and vote against them, which is also going to help the turnout.

Let’s hope the same happens in Ifield.

What do you mean? People coming out and asking you to sign autographs? 🙂

After that recent election photo of your “lacking gravitas” colleague in the ‘Ifield of Dreams’ (agh), I think potential autograph-hunters will tend to stay around Furnace Green, don’t you !!!
None of us have that photogenic ‘star quality’ around here !

Perhaps that photo through my door last night was printed by the same company as the postal vote printer (and page 6 of the Crawley Observer!) 🙂
