The website referred to in this story from the news yesterday can be found here at the moment, but obviously there is a chance of it disappearing since it is subject to a police investigation at the moment. Comments have been disabled, but there is a lively discussion about it here.
The BBC call it a hate site, but I don’t think thats a correct description. Hate sites are the sort of generic racist sites like Stormfront. This one is personal, and more of a revenge site I think, and the sort of treatment someone deserves for selling a broken laptop without clearing all his porn and bank details off it first.

Yeah, I think ‘hate website’ is a little strong. I’ve no sympathy at all for the guy involved, if he did actually sell a broken laptop.
Has the website owner done anything illegal, do you think?

I don’t think that the selling of a broken laptop was the bad thing. He may have really thought it would work with a new power lead. The bad thing was not refunding when asked.
The only sympathy I have is for any of Amir’s friends who were in photos he took which were on the HDD.
I suspect it is all for real, as there appears to be another person chasing him for selling an iPod which never turned up.
