Football through the looking glass

I must be in some strange parallel universe or something. At the end of the first day of the first day of the new (Premier league) season West Ham have more points than all the other London clubs put together, and if the two Manchester teams can manage to win tomorrow it will stay that way.

I love the start of the season, for a week or two us Hammers can feel the way Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans do for the rest of the year.

And what about Crawley Town? An away win at Stevenage means we have 9 points from the first three games so now we are propping up the table with -1 points, courtesy of the Majeeds losing us 10 points through their maladministration.

    Only lasted 24 hours this year skuds. :-)

    ManUre, Chelsea and even Portsmouth ahead of you by Sunday evening……I’ve got to admit though that Zamora was my =2nd highest scorer in the fantasy football league I’m in. He got the same points as Terry, 12, but was still someay behind Lampard on 20.

    I can take some comfort in still being the highest-placed London team, even if that is only because Arsenal have only played one game so far. Even being in the top 4 is good for us.

    I stopped doing the fantasy football some years ago, but used to have a lot of success with Julian Dicks – which shows you how long ago I am talking about. Always worth picking a team’s penalty taker if they have a regular one.

    Tyger – maybe Keane will be some consolation?
