IT Managers

August 18th, 2006 · Posted by Skuds in Work · No Comments · Work

John Paschoud will appreciate this…. I had hoped to link to this story which a co-worker brought to my attention for some amusement, but it seems to have disappeared from the vnunet site.  It is still in their list of news, and appears if you search for "IT managers" but the article itself has vanished.

However, the title from it is complete enough that there is little need to read the whole thing: it says "Half of IT managers admit to hating their users"

Only half?

Not being able to read the story does mean missing out on the sub-headline which was "The other half are in the pub" and not being able to read about IT managers who confess to putting in place IT policies purely to wind up users.

I do hope they are going to carry out the same survey amongst HR managers next.
