It has been a good month so far for free stuff.  I love free stuff. I don't think I'm mean – just careful. (The difference? If you are careful you get excited by free stuff. If you are mean you get visibly aroused by it.)

First of all there was some free music from eMusic (so far I have downloaded 19 of my 25 free tracks. More on that later) and now there are two more wonderful free things, both courtesy of Andrew – elevating him to the position of this month's favourite person.

Andrew's latest recommendations are Montastic and Moo.com MiniCards.

Montastic is simple, but potentially very useful. It is a site which monitors your own site. It sort of pings it every 10 minutes and provides reports on how often the site was unavailable.  Invaluable for those of us suffering from intermittent downtime. This wonderful site should let me know if I need to start leaning on my hosts again.

Moo.com MiniCards look like they might be fun. Its a service where you can order up business cards printed with photos from your Flickr account. It costs $19.99 for 100 cards which can be all the same or all different, but there is a free offer for Flickr Pro users of a sample of 10 cards. They will print the cards up and post them off to you for nothing – no obligation whatsoever. They do not even ask for credit card details so no chance of inertia selling at all.

They must be very confident that enough of us will be so pleased with the results we will want to pay for more.
