I am disappointed.

I noticed a lot more hits than normal today, and a lot of them are coming from searches for “redwatch” or from the redwatch site itself, no doubt a result of the G2 article. A couple of them in the last hour went to the “respond” part of my post on the topic but there are no new comments…

Either a couple of people decided to reply and bottled out, just changed their minds or wrote something so bad it got automatically blacklisted, which is a pity. I like comments, even the negative ones, which can be more amusing. I se a few regular visitors here who come back almost daily but never even take the time to say hello.

Actually, the only comments which get automatically flushed are ones with words like viagra, tamiflu, cialis and phentermine in them as they are guaranteed to be spam. Comments containing certain choice obscenities just go into the moderation queue so I can enjoy them before approving them. Or not.

(And yet, I still get more people coming here having searched for ‘Parcelnet’ than for ‘Redwatch’)

There are two ways to attract comments to a blog: either write interesting, provocative and thoughtful posts or just blatantly beg for them.

The first method was a little too difficult 🙂

Always willing to oblige young man.

Err let me rephrase that. Always willing (sometimes, with reservations, depending on circumstances and motivations, contextual complications and various other excuses) and that. Tho but.

Hiya Redwatch scum! Come and get me as well you filty little monkeys. XX

Fellow Gang of Four fans always welcome!

Maybe your posts are so enlightening and all encompassing that nothing else is needed from the rest of us.

  • Skuds

Possibly. Maybe even probably. I shall have to start lowering the bar 🙂

Saw the Redwatch article. What always amazes me is that they have someone who can look after a website – maybe it is just an infinite number of monkeys? ( I bet they don’t think much of evolution either…)
