I think Jayne was disappointed by Torchwood tonight.
She expected to really hate it and was looking forward to taking the mickey out of me carrying on my Dr Who fixation by other means, but in the event she actually liked it.

We enjoyed it too – according to Radio 5 listeners a bit of sex and swearing doesn’t make it ‘adult’ but a bit adolescent. Great – just what Dr Who ought to grow up to be: mature and sensible would spoil it all.
Swearing – it is big, and it is clever! Is that what they taught you at university?
I thought it was hilarious. Especially the security guard knocking one out at the CCTV monitor. And then later on was the repeat of Extras. How often do you get to see masturbation at work portrayed on TV twice in one day?
I suspect that the references to flexible sexuality and sex-based plotlines will not feature so prominently in episodes which are not written by RTD.
