It seems like our armed forces are now being given the facilities and support they really need in war zones, according to this story which leapt off the page of my trade paper this week – and which is my candidate for headline of the week.
Apparently our forces are not hampered by boots which fall apart, rifles which spit hot used cartridge cases into soldiers faces, shortages of spare parts for vehicles or anything like that – what they really need is access to HR facilities…
I’m sure the ability to of troops to get access to their latest appraisal documentation while under fire will be a major contribution to world safety.
Just think – if we weren’t intending to piss away billions upgrading Trident we could probably give the front-line troops access to health & safety systems and let them read summaries of key performance indicators on an intranet too.
