Crawley Town v Spurs

What is going on? Next week a Spurs XI are coming down to play Crawley Town. Its unlikely that we will see Defoe, Bent or Berbatov down the Broadfield stadium but the team is supposed to contain a lot of first team players who aren’t getting much real action.

In other words, its a pre-season friendly but being played a week and a bit into the season. Very strange, but its a strange season all round so far with Man Utd. not only dropping 4 points behind Chelsea after two games, but also dropping 4 points behind Man City.

    I’ve seen this before in other seasons – basically it’s because the full season starts so early, that small clubs don’t get as many friendlies from big visitors as they used to before the beginning.

    Anyway, nice to see that Man U are also behind the mighty Fulham.
