I spoke to Mum tonight. Her computer is working again (she fixed it herself – way to go!) so she says she will now be able to keep up with my comings and goings again. I guess that means I’ll have to to try and use the word “fuck” less often. Oops. I’ll start tomorrow.

Sicko
September 24th, 2007 · 2 Comments · Politics
Today’s Guardian G2 feature about the film Sicko was a bit of a gimmick, but interesting even so. They took 16 NHS workers to see the film about the US healthcare system and then asked them what they thought of it, and what they thought about the NHS.

Spizzenergi v Sex Pistols
September 21st, 2007 · 4 Comments · Music
The Sex Pistols are playing at the Brixton Academy on November 8th. I toyed with the idea of trying to get tickets in the 5 minutes between them going on sale and all selling out tomorrow morning, but I think that £37.50 is a bit steep, even before you add on all the spurious booking […]

Either that or the Newcastle air is getting to him and he has started channelling Viz magazine. When I was reading the match report in Yesterday’s paper I found this masterpiece […]

Well buckle me swashes and shiver me timbers – for the second year running I missed Talk Like A Pirate Day! I be ever so upset. It should be made a public holiday so its more easily remembered.
All wiki’d out
September 18th, 2007 · 2 Comments · Technology, Work
After work today I went straight up to London for a sort of conference on web 2.0 stuff, with an emphasis on using wikis in business. It sounds like the sort of thing I am about 20 years too old for, and maybe I am, but it was a reasonably diverting evening. The theme was […]
Spot the difference

This month Crawley council unveiled its (slightly) controversial new logo. The leader of the council says “we didn’t want to be too safe with the new logo and we wanted something that would stand out and that said something positive and distinctive about Crawley” Well it certainly stands out. Positivity is a bit subjective. Distinctive…? […]
