At tonight’s constituency meeting we had a superb report back from our conference delegate, Brenda Smith. Not to say that she wasn’t committed before, but the experience of going to conference has boosted her enthusiasm even more.
Which is not surprising really. Just her 30-minute report about the conference raised morale and spirit tonight, and that was just second-hand so I can only imagine what it is like to spend four days at the event itself. If only it was possible for every member to go.
The only slight problem is that she as raised the bar so much with the standard of the report back to the constituency that the rest of us will be slightly put off going as a delegate with such a tough act to follow. But I wouldn’t want to criticise anyone for doing too good a job…
