I seem to have accumulated 28 hours of stuff on my V+ digital recorder already.
I have taken to recording programmes I want to watch so that if I am out or forget to turn the TV on I won't miss them. I have been making sure to view them within a day or two and then delete them. What remains is mostly films which I ought to watch but which I suspect I will never get around to.
The result is that the V+ box has become the box of good intentions.
Flims waiting to be watched include If…. , Manon des Sources, Jean de Florette, A Clockwork Orange, Le Diner de Cons, Farenheit 9/11, Bend it like Beckham, Dumplings, K-Pax and About A Boy – plus The Player and Kingpin which I have seen before.
There is also the TV play The Dinner Party, Longford, and a documentary about a Finnish media company. There are only a few things I have kept after watching – a BBC Sessions with Paul Simon, David Gilmour Live and an edition of Later with Jools Holland which has Bjork and Paul McCartney on it.
I am looking forward to Christmas for a change. With a week off work and nothing on the TV it will be the only chance I get to catch up on all those films unless I manage to to get laid up in bed for a week with some debilitating disease.
