Who would have guessed that ‘resting’ Paul Robinson would turn out to look like a mistake?
England were terrible tonight though. At half time I gave up and watched Heroes instead.
But well done to ex-Hammer Slaven Bilic. His team deserved to win more than we did and looked like they wanted to win more than ours did.
Despite all the whole disastrous campaign I hope the media don’t hound McLaren out of his job… not without a decent attempt to get Brian Barwick out too anyway.

Yeah, I switched over at half-time as well. The Heroes storyline was much more credible than the England performance, and its vision of a post-apocalyptic New York controlled by an evil serial killer super-president was a lot more uplifting.
Pah.

I was absolutely disgusted by the whole thing – Motson’s comentry just gets worse and I resorted to the TV sound turned down and listened to the commentry on Radio 5 Live….

And I am already fed up of the ‘lets get Jose’ comments (and the, hang on, better have a Brit, what about Shearer?)
Glad to say we avoided the whole thing by going out somewhere with no tv (but very good food – I have my priorities….)
