A great win for West Ham today with two cruelly-timed goals: one just before half time and one on 90 minutes.  Another minute and it would have been a draw, but whether its by a sneaky injury-time goal or by 5-0 its still the same three points.
Its looking good though. 25 points from 17 games. Reading and Man Utd come to visit over the holidays and then we will have played 19 games – halfway for the season. Already we have more than half the points needed to stay up and after the holidays we ought to have at least 28.
After last year I don’t think I can take another relegation battle, but its looking like we are more likely to be striving for Europe than for survival this time.

It’s certainly looking so much brighter than it was last season. Who knows, maybe there might just be another foray into Europe (Dear Santa….) but perhaps that is just too much to wish for

I was at work on Saturday – with the radio on most of the day. At least final score made up for how smug the manager at the town shop was over the Arsenal result…
