Its safe to say that Chas was surprised by his Christmas present. He had not been asking for stunt stilts, but Jayne had a hunch he would be chuffed, and fortunately he was.
Even the fact that it was drizzly and nasty on the 25th didn’t stop him going out, although he didn’t get too far at first. We made him walk up and down the front path until he could make it without holding onto the porch.
Basically we said no stairs or slopes until he could at least walk on level ground, but he was out in the street by the afternoon and by boxing day there was no stopping him.
I think I might have a go tomorrow. Or I might not. I know its nearly ten years ago, but the memory of when I bought myself inline skates so I could join in with the kids is still painfully fresh…
