The local branch of Game had a couple of CDs of old Sierra games in their sale. One had 5 Leisure Suit Larry games and the other had 6 Space Quest games on it, and they all work on XP.
I couldn’t resist them, and have spent the last few days playing games that I first played more than 20 years ago on PCs with less processing power than most mobile phones of today.
OK, so the kids think its hilarious seeing me with chunky great VGA graphics on my computer, but these games are still fun to play through and bring back memories of hours spent in Sweden working through the adventures while waiting for jobs to finish on the mainframe. Which probably also had less processing power than today’s mobile phones.

I played Larry when I was a kid. It was soooo over my head.

Me: “Listen at door.”
Game: You smell burning rubber.
Didn’t understand this at all. Not surprising I never completed any of them.
