So the last bank holiday was a fluke after all, and now we are back to the traditional miserable holiday weekend, with the trees behind the garden bending like they are in a Robert Frost poem, followed by a bit of a downpour.  To re-inforce the feeling that all is back to normal, the UK managed to come last in the Eurovision again. All we need now is the death of a popular entertainer or sportsman and the atmosphere for a half-term holiday will be complete.

Good thing you are heading north then. Its not a bad morning here and the forecast looks okay. If you want tropical temperatures you will need to be going to somewhere, well, tropical.
At least you should be pitching the tent on fairly dry ground with wind gusting at about 20mph max – I know you’ve managed much worse!
