Fingers on buzzers, no conferring

I was at another quiz on Friday night.  This one was in aid of the Crawley Community Church building fund.  One of my colleagues at work is involved in the church and invited me to join his team.  I may be an atheist but I’m also a quiz whore 🙂

It was a good evening, with an impressively large turnout and the whole thing was very well-organised. Best of all our team won by a 5-point margin after a slightly shaky start. The prize was a pile of bottles of wine which we shared out.  Mine will probably end up as a raffle prize elsewhere as usual, but my point of view is that its not the prize that matters – its the winning taking part and having a good time.  An ex-colleague who left our company a few months ago was there and it was interesting to catch up with him.

Horsham Labour Party has started going to local quizzes as a social thing (but with fund-raising possibilities if we win) so any extra experience I can get is handy.
