After reading this story about Swiss TV making a cock-up with the lyrics to the German national anthem there was something bugging me; something obvious but I just couldn’t work out what it was. Today it suddenly came to me: Swiss TV displays the lyrics to national anthems at football matches as sub-titles! How strange. I have never heard of anyone doing that before.

There is always going to be some idiot who takes it all seriously. No names - you know who you are. Not that anyone reads all this stuff at the bottom anyway, not when there is more exciting stuff to do like watching paint dry...
