Ibhola Lethu is “our football team” in Swahili or some other African language. I think. Anyway, its the title of a song by the mighty Johnny Clegg and his band Savuka and appropriate for speculation about this new football season and particularly the fortunes of not only the Hammers but my team in the Guardian’s fantasy football league.
I have not taken part in fantasy football for quite a while now. So long ago that I am pretty sure my last fantasy football team had Julian Dicks in it – I was hoping that, as chief penalty-taker he would get enough goals to make up for the inevitable bookings.
This year I am relying on these players for the success, or otherwise, of Dynamo Horsham:
- D James
- R Huth
- F Aurelio
- P Jagielka
- P Ferreira
- O Hargreaves
- V Behrami
- F Lampard
- C Fabregas
- D Drogba
- E Adebayor
On the bench I have:
- R Green
- S Distin
- N Denilson
- D Ashton

Probably because I know even less about Southern Africa than I do about West Africa 🙂
