Diamond Dogs

I am still finding this story hard to believe: a man had a seizure and his dog called the emergency services on the phone.  It sounds like an unlikely fluke but, apparently, the dog is specially trained to do that.  To put this remarkable achievement into perspective, even after years of the police getting such stories in the news we still can’t teach humans to use the emergency phone service responsibly.

There have been countless similar examples of numpties dialling 999 for trivial reasons so the difficult thing would seem to be not teaching a dog (or person) how to dial 999 (or 911) but teaching them when to do it and more importantly when not to do it.  Just imagine the emergency switchboard getting calls because the dog wants to go out or has found an interesting smell.

Lets find out who trained that dog and bring them over here to train our humans!
