Young Rojo continues to entertain in that relentless way that kittens do. Â The other day he turned up with some indelible black stains around the neck and on one ear. Â Either he found an oil puddle to play with or has been crawling under dirty cars.I think he might have been put off oil a bit now though. Â While reading the paper over breakfast today I heard the sound of a cat drinking, but it wasn’t coming from the direction of their water bowl behind me. Â I was looking around the floor to see what spillage the cat might be enjoying when the sound changed to retching.
I looked up and saw the cat up on the kitchen counter retreating from a jug of cooking oil… Â
Yesterday we bought some kitten and puppy shampoo which we are looking forward to using to remove those oil stains. Â I would not be surprised if Rojo, unlike every other cat I have come across, actually enjoys getting a bath. Â Chrystal was looking at the shampoo bottle and asked what the difference is between pet shampoo and normal shampoo, to which I can only think of two answers:
- About two quid a bottle
- This is one that you hope has been tested on animals

I was once decanting gin from a 5 litre bottle in something that made me look a bit less like a complete lush (long story) and caught Moth trying to drink the dregs from the jug I had been using. It was a clear jug so I got a great view of her look of horror and disgust as she dicovered she really didn’t like gin and it was a tight fit so I got a good laugh as she ran backwards round the room with it stuck on her head….

Judging by the black hairs stuck to the rim of the open tin of hair gel, our young cats seem to have developed a taste for hair products. The lack of funky hair styles makes me suspect they didn’t put it to its proper use…

It may just be a coincidence but Rojo spent the evening puking his guts up. Delayed reaction or did he find something else to poison himself with?
