What’s Going On?

September 28th, 2008 · Posted by Skuds in Life · 2 Comments · Life

Could this be the season that all three newly-promoted Premier League teams survive?  I know it is only early days in the season but already Hull have as many points as Derby got in the whole of last season after beating Arsenal and West Brom have managed a couple of wins to keep them in the top half.

Stoke may be in the relegation zone, but they have had to play Chelsea and Liverpool in their first six games and managed to hold out quite well – they have certainly not rolled over.  The terrible starts of two established ‘big’ clubs, Spurs and Newcastle, are giving the new boys a much better chance of staying up as well.

And still West Ham cling onto a top five place, although we need good performances from Portsmouth and Wigan tomorrow to stay there, and Crawley Town show just what they can do when they don’t have to start off with minus points.

I’m enjoying the footie season so far except for the nagging fear that this is as good as its going to get.

I don’t want to talk about the footie – even if Spurs are still down in the depths.

Off to Bromwich next week, to probably watch us chuck 3 points away…

OK, its easier to spare time gloating about Spurs being at the bottom and Man U still in the bottom half when your team is in 5th place and 2 points off the top… still gives me a small frisson to say it like that… but Fulham aren’t doing too bad.

Been a bit unlucky so far but I reckon they will do OK.
