December 31st, 2008 · 6 Comments · Life, Music

It is New Year’s Eve so I am casting my mind back over the past twelve months.  If you have a blog it is compulsory.  I think its a tradition or an old charter or something.  So looking back, the international year of the frog, or 2008 as it is better known, has been an […]

Don’t Cry Sister

December 30th, 2008 · 3 Comments · Life

Going back to visit family in Essex, as we did at the weekend, is always a pleasure and especially at Christmas time.  With Jane living up in Yorkshire it is not that often we all get together but Christmas is one of those times.  It can get a bit mad though.

The Message

December 22nd, 2008 · 2 Comments · Life, Technology

For once there is a mobile phone/health story that does not end with them threatening life and limb: instead mobile phones are being used as an indication that patients may be well enough to discharge.  What happened is that doctors at music festivals who were treating youngsters overcome by the excitement noticed that when the […]

It’s Hip To Be Square

December 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments · Life

Just finished wrapping Jayne’s presents.  I wanted gold wrapping paper because that is what everything else is wrapped in, but there has been a run on gold paper in Crawley town centre, certainly amongst the cheaper paper, and I ended up with some ‘luxury’ paper as it was all I could find.  It’s brilliant!

Time To Get Ill

December 21st, 2008 · Comments Off on Time To Get Ill · Life

This has been a bit of a plague house since Wednesday or Thursday.  Jayne was sent home from work because of her flu-like symptoms, and now I seem to have the same sort of thing and at exactly the wrong time.
