The big story from the world of theatre this week is, as far as the UK is concerned, David Tennant missing from the RSC’s production of Hamlet because of a back problem. I imagine that it really does hurt and that he would be on stage if he was at all able to be, so it would be wrong to wind him up with the week’s other big theatre story…Â
In this other story an actor accidentally slit his own throat live on stage when a real sharp knife was left out instead of the fake knife he was supposed to use.  Ouch. But he was back onstage the next night with a bandage round his neck.
