After a couple of disappointing months, Horsham Labour party were back on top in the village quiz tonight, boosting the coffers by fifty quid. That should pay for a few leaflets.
Talking of quizzes, I really felt for Exeter in yesterday’s University Challenge with their haul of a mere 15 points. I only watched the last ten minutes or so, but even I got more than that – having shouted out two or three starters (correctly) well before either team. Still, as Paxo says, and I am paraphrasing, they can’t be that bad: they did get to the quarter-final after all and that is not easy.
