The new flow control valve arrived on Dec 31st and it turned out to be quite easy to fit – even though I had to attach some sort of electric microswitch to it.  How relaxing it is to be able to just turn off the shower without having to fiddle around in the airing cupboard with a screwdriver. Best thirty quid I have spent for ages and far better than forking out for a new unit.
