The absence of any new waffle here lately is because we have been away for half-term, spending a week in Tunisia. Quite exciting really because it was the first family holiday abroad for about six years I think and the first time I had been on a plane at all since going to Amsterdam exactly four years ago.
We returned late on Sunday with suitcases full of washing, pottery and tablecloths and a camera with about 350 photos on it…
It was good to get away from everything for a few days: no television, no computers, no news, no mobile phones – not even any football results.
I expect to be flooding Flickr with holiday snaps over the next few days, and writing a few what-I-did-on-my-holidays posts here, followed by some lovely new banner photos in the pool of random images for the top of this page.

For some reason I read “…washing, pottery and tablecloths…” as “…washing, poetry and tablecloths ….”
Think I need new glasses….. 🙁

The oddest thing is that while you have been away the rate of comments slowed down enormously! Or maybe all your regulars had half-term off too.
Don’t make the photos too good – Rob and I are off to Norway soon and I don’t want the bar raised even higher than it already is.

Not that unusual – nothing new to comment on, though I notice a few die-hards have been happy to let old arguments rumble on in the meantime.

BTW, I have now finished uploading photos to Flickr. Not all of them – just 150 of them.
I don’t think I have set the bar too high with them so you should be OK.
