I should probably mention this before my eponymous sister does – one of the news stories that did catch my eye while I was offline. Apparently, and I’m sure Mother would have no arguments with this, “Sisters spread happiness while brothers breed distress” according to ‘experts’.

Virgin managed to restore our broadband remotely this afternoon: no need to wait for an engineer with a new modem to turn up on Wednesday. Good news indeed, because now I won’t have the rest of the family asking every ten minutes. They have all been suffering from World of Warfare withdrawal.
