Crazy Water

Had a very worrying drive tonight.  I was going to a Horsham Labour Party meeting via Slaugham so I could pick up one of our younger members who asked for a lift.  As I left the house it started to rain a bit, by the time I was on the A23, which is only just round the corner, it was torrential.

As I got to Handcross Hill it got even worse – and this is a streth of road that is an accident blackspot even in the best conditions.  It feels like there is a report of a crash or fatal accident there just about every week, so reaching there with visibility of only a few feet was not a pleasant experience.
