Going Commando

Last week I was frustrated when I decided to watch Commando and discovered that I didn’t actually have it.  Yesterday I bought it in HMV so I could scratch that itch.  It was only available in a box set with Predator, Terminator & Conan.   Good value – although I already have Predator.  So tonight I sat down and watched Commando. Again.  The acting and dialogue are unbelievably bad, but it is still a great film.The recipe for watching it is to ignore the worst excesses of the script and the more wooden parts of the performances and just sit back and soak up the body count.  Above all, do not stop to wonder why power-crazy would-be dictators always hire a private army that is staffed entirely by people who can’t shoot straight.

And do remember to join in when Arnie says “Remember when I said I would kill you last?  I lied.”
