Playing the pink recorder

A pink recorder...

A pink recorder...

It sounds like a euphemism, a variation on the famous Private Eye ‘pink oboe’ line, but it is for real – you can buy a pink descant recorder at Amazon.

An ideal ‘secret santa’ gift for a gay friend with a sense of humour and no love of music.

A quick reminder of the inspiration for this post:

Then we have been forced to listen to the pitiful whining of Mr Norma St.John Scott – a scrounger, parasite, pervert, a worm, a self-confessed player of the pink oboe; a man, or woman who by his, or her, own admission chews pillows!
