A couple of news stories today that caught my eye. First of all from the Telegraph: Transvestite had sex with a dog at English Heritage castle and then closer to home there is the Lewes knob-poster. Just a couple of comments and observations to make.First, regarding the Cornwall dog-shagger. I liked the way the headline almost implied that it was the location rather than the act that was the worst thing about the incident.  The strange thing is that I thought this was one of those stories where the headline says it all and there is no point reading the story: how wrong I was.
It turns out that it wasn’t even his own dog! The man must be as brave as he is perverted – I wouldn’t even trust a stragne dog not to bite my hand. The crowning glory of the story has to be the quote at the end:
A spokesman for English Heritage said: “This was a very rare incident”.
No kidding! I can’t imagine them saying “I don’t know what the world is coming to, that’s the third one this week.” Surely ‘rare’ is a bit of an understatement.
As for the flasher-by-proxy in Lewes… There is an obvious way to track down the culprit, but I doubt there will be many volunteers for that line of door-to-door enquiries! Or indeed many volunteers to take part in the identity parade if any suspect is arrested.

So many questions! Is the RSPCA going to prosecute the puppy fiddler? Because he almost certainly didn’t have the dog’s consent…
The knob-photo stunt, hmmm. With the comment that fees may go up and the yellow ribbon it could be a dig at the Lib-Dems for not fighting to keep their manifesto promises to all those students?
