With all the shelf-removal I have been doing lately it was a bad time to discover that my little electric screwdriver was totally kaput. Sure, the big one is fine for taking the big screws out of the wall, but a bit awkward when tackling the screws holding shelves onto the supports, especially on shelves close to the floor.
Now that I have taken down most of the shelves, including all the really low-level ones, I treated myself to a new small electric screwdriver. Maybe a bit late, but it will come in handy for putting them all back up if we move. I couldn’t resist it because it has a little LED flashlight built in so not only can you reach those nooks and crannies at the back of cupboards but you can see what you are doing.
What a brilliant idea.
If we move I think I shall do all the DIY at night with the lights off just to make the most of it.

Rob got a new jigsaw just to fit the new catflap. I daren’t leave him alone in the house in case I come home and find he’s made a whole in something else….
