I thought that everybody getting killed or going missing at the end of series three meant that it was all over, but apparently not. That enjoyable nonsense, Primeval, is coming back for a fourth series.
The ITV website has a trailer and there will be some preview episodes there next week.
It has, necessarily, all new characters including a bloke called Philip Burton who is described thus:
Philip’s as good a business man as he is a scientist – resulting in a new public/private partnership at the ARC after the failure of the last missions. His key interests lie in anomaly research, rather than the creatures.
It always amazed me that all the emphasis of research was not on the anomalies but on what came through them.
Abby’s status is listed as “MIA” so there is always some hope that she might reappear one day to prance around in her underpants.
