Let me see if I have got this right: somebody writes a blog with posts that criticise the performance and bahaviour of his local council, and the majority of councillors resign. Sounds a bit unlikely and too good to be true.

Benn says blog
July 2nd, 2009 · Comments Off on Benn says blog · Politics
Tony Benn said lots of things last night. There were observations, reminiscences, aspirations, explanations, theories, jokes, and so on, but unlike most politicians he did not give out instructions. Maybe that is what makes him different.  Anyway, one of the few specific pieces of advice was to blog.  He said that he intends to […]

Meeting Tony Benn
July 1st, 2009 · Comments Off on Meeting Tony Benn · Politics
Today I went down to Worthing for ‘an evening with Tony Benn’.  This was a fundraiser for his grandaughter, Emily, who is the parliamentary candidate down there, and a very pleasant evening it was too.

Not a real blogger
April 28th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Life
I think I have to hold my hands up, turn in my anorak, and admit that I am not a real blogger for three reasons: Left a whole week between posts Most serious bloggers can’t leave it seven hours, let alone seven days Offered no explanation for the week of silence And I am still […]
Another day, another website

Lots of new websites on the go at the moment, which only partly explains the lack of activity on this one.

Say Goodbye Hollywood

I just finished reading a book called The Last Days of the Lacuna Cabal by Sean Dixon which turned out to be a very bloggy book: not in it’s style but in it’s references. Towards the end there is a pretty neat description of blogs: A blog is the movie of your life, with subtitles, […]
The Magic Piper (of Love)
July 23rd, 2008 · Comments Off on The Magic Piper (of Love) · Life
I knew that my intention to do my bit for the planet and recycle song titles for blog posts was not original – I have seen it done before. What I did not realise is the the esteemed Bob Piper has been quietly doing it for some time now. I always keep an eye on […]

This evening I shaved off the beard I have had for about ten years. I just felt like a change. Jayne isn’t happy so I will probably grow it back when I take my holidays from work, thought I still don’t know when that wil be. Soon I hope – It feels weird and its […]
