When I saw the Tory ‘newsletter’ that came to our house today, my first reaction was to think that they are getting a bit worried by Ian Irvine’s campaign, and in particular the letter going out with his election address in which our erstwhile Tory and Lib Dem councillor, Marcella Head, urges her supporters to […]

Yes to Holmbush?
April 22nd, 2008 · No Comments
It looks like there will be 2,500 new homes built in the strategic gap between Horsham and Crawley, just West of Bewbush. The plans have been agreed by both councils, although the Horsham leader, Liz Kitchen has expressed reservations saying she doesn’t want to see the two towns joining up.

On Saturday there was a “Let’s face it” event in Broadfield, organised by the Christ the Lord church. These events are where groups of residents get together to do something like clear out a pond or tidy up bits of land and the council helps out by supplying the tools for the job, a van […]

Fairtrade
March 2nd, 2008 · 2 Comments
Jayne and I were supposed to be helping out with the Fairtrade Fortnight by dishing out free teas and coffees in Crawley town centre today. When we turned up for our shift there were still 5 or 6 other volunteers who were in no rush to go home
