This looks like graffiti artists are much more advanced in Paris than they are round here. I love walking around a city, turning a corner and finding something like this. It makes all those times I get lost worth it.

Dank u wel

Many thanks to the Netherlands for providing some top entertainment today. Not only have their games been tremendously watchable, but they have now made sure that next week’s France/Italy game has the potential to be a real battle. The game was not as one-sided as the 4-1 result might imply: France [...]

Back from Paris
June 7th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Well, we are back from our flying visit to Paris. Many photos to download and label - mostly flowers. My best advice to anyone visiting Paris is don’t try to do Giverney and the Louvre on the same day! We couldn’t do anything on our last day apart from moan about how tired [...]

I tell them all about the legal protection offered, extra benefits gained from the company, the pensions advice, the discounts on all sorts of goods and services, and all that but I [...]

Two totally unconnected stories
April 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment
It was with some dismay that I came across a story in my newspaper today about pub closures. Not that I am much of a pub-goer these days but, the story was illustrated by a photo of one of the pubs I particularly enjoyed when I did visit them more often - the Intrepid [...]

We all know that there is a housing crisis, and especially in Crawley and Horsham where, like most of the South-East, it is nearly impossible for youngsters to find anywhere to live, but it could be worse.

Staying put

Well I am not moving to France. There was a slight possibility of an opportunity at work that came totally out of the blue and I pursued it, but ultimately it came to nothing.
